Art & All of thee Above

Above Art Studios gallery owner creates a music soundtrack and exhibition entitled, "Black As ..." under his music artist and high school moniker name of XVI Barz. The soundtrack and exhibition taking an in-depth artistic vantage point into the life of blackness in America. Barz was inspired to curate this project during the 2020 Pandemic at the peak of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) Movement due to the magnitude of the situations occurring and the overwhelming unexpressed feelings of hopelessness spreading throughout the black community. The motivation behind this unique exhibition is to provide insight into the perspective of the average Black American by educating, empowering, and transforming the pain of being Black in America, into a masterpiece; this serves as art imitating life and life being imitated in art. A portion of the funds will go towards short independent films that aim to educate, inspire, and transform the ideas of the community of creatives about the importance of Black Lives in America.
